Alongside my role as a Part I Architectural Assistant, I naturally gravitated toward visual storytelling and soon became my firm’s in‑house visualiser. That early mix of design, problem‑solving and communication set the tone for the rest of my career. After completing my postgraduate Architecture degree, I transitioned fully into visualisation, working across several of London’s leading architectural visualisation and film studios. These years strengthened not only my technical craft, but also my ability to understand how people engage with complex ideas when they’re made visual, narrative and accessible.In 2023, I shifted into foresight, futures thinking and sustainability work; areas where I could bring together design intuition, analytical thinking, and a genuine interest in helping others understand emerging challenges. Since then, I’ve focused on translating intricate systems, data and concepts into clear, engaging and human‑centred visual outputs. I’ve gained experience in both creative direction and project management, ensuring clear, high-quality and visually engaging work delivered on time and on budget.&nbsp; Across every stage of my career, I’ve been driven by curiosity, collaboration, and the belief that good design should make information easier to understand, not harder. Every material is tracked, reused and respected within planetary boundaries, shifting society from passive questioning to active participation. By pairing scenario‑based reasoning with today’s real‑world freight data, the piece revealed how different transport modes influence both the availability of goods and the future availability of the resources that make them possible. The result was a clear, compelling case for rethinking how we procure and move the things we rely on. Water Worlds 2050 A world‑building design exercise for an immersive workshop at Stockholm’s World Water Week (hosted by the Stockholm International Water Institute) required crafting a suite of collateral: worksheets, persona lanyards, animations, stickers and interactive matrices. I developed a visual language that felt both familiar and intriguingly new, helping a room of futures‑thinking specialists engage deeply with the scenario. The session brought together a packed room of climate and water experts, regenerative designers, foreign dignitaries, activists and sustainability leads for a focused hour of collective imagination. At times it involves building a “Miroverse” so stakeholders can navigate familiar tools in fresh, engaging ways. Other days it means crafting an infographic in under two hours from raw data alone, or rapidly assembling a research report and defining its visual language from scratch. This breadth creates space to explore different visual styles, balancing brand adherence with thoughtful boundary‑pushing to elevate each brief beyond the expected. 3D Rendering Sometimes a project demands photorealism, or at least a convincingly real illusion, to land its message. Using tools such as 3ds Max, Blender, Modo and Houdini, I create 3D simulations that feel tangible, then elevate them through compositing into stills, motion pieces or full animations. These techniques form an essential part of a skillset honed over more than a decade. Renders have helped win projects, clarify thinking for clients and stakeholders, and tell both stories and cautionary tales. With simulation tools evolving so quickly and becoming more accessible, there’s always a new technique to try or a workflow to test. This page highlights the projects I create in those in‑between moments: the evenings after work, the slow weekends, or the train journeys when an idea insists on being sketched out. Most of these pieces begin as a quick scribble, a mental snapshot, or just an instinct that won’t leave me alone. I’ve always loved seeing other artists’ personal work; it’s often where their real voice shows through. So by sharing a few of mine, I hope you get a sense of what sparks my curiosity, what drives me creatively, and what makes me “tick”. Rothiemurchus 2098 received an Honourable Mention in Blank Space’s 2020 Fairy Tales competition, and can be viewed here. The Last Forest in conjunction with Bionic Landscapes were also featured as part of an interview with Next Nature Network (published 5th April 2021), as part of their Next Generation series, which can be read here. The year is 2098. The Rothiemurchus Project in the Scottish Cairngorms stands as the ‘Last Forest’, the final remnant of a doomed UN experiment to protect global biodiversity. A central ‘Ark’ building, designed initially to protect plant life in perpetuity, has been left to ruin. Yet against the odds, for better or worse, the intelligent robotic infrastructure, designed to maintain the forest, appears to have adapted and grown. As a biologist infiltrates the Last Forest, we accompany him to discover how corruption and disorder might be forces for survival. The mysterious world we find there asks us to consider who its architecture is for, how custodianship might shape space and how the idea of ‘nature‘ itself might evolve in time The project focuses on the main themes of Nature, the Anthropocene and Artificial Intelligence, culminating in how these are linked through symbiosis. Architecture needs to adapt to accommodate such relationships in order for our planet to survive; we as architects could employ our interdisciplinary expertise to begin to shape lives, so as better enable us to live within our planet’s means. With a certain degree of future casting and speculation, the project seeks to explore architecture for non-humans, whether that be mechanical or organic beings, or both. Yet current projections indicate that by the end of the century, our population will have doubled, 33,453 gigatons of ice will have melted from the ice caps, and up to 162,000 species will become extinct. A worldwide united effort is now essential to steer ourselves away from disaster, yet given our track record, can the future of our natural environment really be entrusted to mankind? However, all is not yet lost as our understanding of our environment grows, alongside our means to nurture it. In the past few years alone, trees have been found to broadcast information through strands of fungi below the forest floor, to better share resources; meanwhile our march towards artificial intelligence has brought about “Farming as a Service” (FaaS) packages, where robots independently patrol and manage parcels of agricultural land. Perhaps handing over the reins of responsibility may prove to be a viable option. Bionic Landscapes invents a direction for humanity, through the concept of ‘distanced authorship’, where the natural world is intentionally separated from man’s reach in order to survive. Could the planet’s natural ecologies become more ‘natural’ by managing our influence? Through writing, animation and drawing, the research project explores the possibility of a delicate future symbiosis between nature and intelligent machine, kept beyond the reach of its greatest threat. Spaces intended to accommodate forest creatures are integrated into the building fabric, so as to allow human users of the building to observe and learn from them, in order to further spread awareness produced in order to further animation skillsets, these images and films were the result of time spent developing mini-projects on the themes of Hong Kong’s spatial typologies, pro-democracy protests and culture, as well as repurposing undergraduate material to produce stylised imagery of Istanbul’s Han buildings. Umbrella Town (2017) Using Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protests in 2014 as a basis for a small one-off project, imagining a small independent nation of these protesters where free elections and threatened landmarks are safeguarded. Pawn Shop Animation (2016) This short clip has no 3D or computer-generated render imagery. Several hand-drawn elements were combined and animated in order to experiment with a more traditional type of film.
